Muute Exam puts you in control of the digital exam room. With one click, you set the security level and materials for each exam, so every test remains fair, without limiting the tools you already use.

Exam goes further than choosing which apps and websites are available. Exam uses the Muute Secure Environment: a fully isolated temporarily created space on each device.
Within the Secure Environment, examination can take place securely. The Secure Environment blocks access from getting out of the Secure Environment and software from outside the Secure Environment cannot get inside. Cheating is simply not possible.
Beyond that, you decide: internet access per application, restricted file access, even whether spell check is on or forcefully turned off in Microsoft Word. Live monitoring lets you oversee multiple exams at once, see who's active, and respond instantly if something needs your attention.

A Configuration is the exact set of desktop apps, web apps and materials students are allowed to use during that exam, prepared in advance. Build it once, reuse it for every test or exam, and activate it with a single click.No last-minute setup, no room for error: every student sees exactly what's permitted.
Hand-in
When time's up, Muute Exam handles the rest. Every saved version is stored automatically along the way, right up to the final submission, so progress is never lost.
Everything lands in a secured hand-in folder with a clear, documented trail of what each student has submitted. When the student leaves the secured enviroment after the exam, every device returns to its original state.
Subrooms
Sometimes one exam room holds more than one exam. Subrooms let you run different exams side by side, each in its own environment, with access only to the materials needed for that exam. One room, multiple exams, full oversight.
